Systems Engineering
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support our partnership with a major leader in the aerospace industry. This opportunity places you at the forefront of advanced system design, supporting complex aerospace platforms across defense, space, and commercial aviation.
As a full time, 12 month consultant in Ridley Park, PA, you will join a high performing engineering team focused on designing and supporting systems for a wide range of global aerospace programs. Your work will directly contribute to mission critical development efforts for vertical lift systems, commercial aircraft, satellite technologies, space launch systems, and more.
Location: Ridley Park, PA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Pay Range: $55.97 - $68.00 per hour
Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance required
In this influential engineering role, you will apply interdisciplinary thinking and technical expertise to ensure system solutions meet customer, program, and mission needs. Key responsibilities include:
Applying an interdisciplinary approach to support system analysis, design, development, and verification activities.
Evaluating customer and operational needs to define performance requirements and integrate technical parameters.
Ensuring compatibility across physical, functional, and program interfaces.
Conducting trades and analyses to optimize system and system of systems architectures.
Performing analyses related to affordability, reliability, maintainability, safety, testability, survivability, system security, and certification.
Supporting planning, organization, and management of requirements processes, risk and issue management, and technology readiness assessments.
Contributing to lifecycle balanced system solutions across multiple high visibility aerospace programs.
Bachelor of Science degree in:
Engineering
Engineering Technology
Physics
Mathematics
Chemistry
Computer Science
Data Science
Or a non US equivalent
Typically 5+ years of related engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with ModelBased Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and concepts (e.g., Cameo, MSOSA).
Experience using DOORS or similar requirements management tools.
Advanced degree in an engineering discipline may substitute for experience (e.g., Master’s + 3 years; PhD with relevant experience).
