Structures Manufacturing Planner
PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a proactive and detail oriented Structures Manufacturing Planner to support our partnership with a major leader in the aerospace industry. In this role, you will contribute directly to the build, production, and certification of all 737 derivative aircraft—making a meaningful impact on production efficiency and quality.
This full time, 6 month consulting assignment places you at the core of structural manufacturing planning for one of the world’s most recognized aircraft programs. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and cross functional planning teams to update installation plans, resolve manufacturing challenges, and ensure seamless execution on the production floor.
Location: Renton, WA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
Pay Range: $39.17 - $45.00 per hour
Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance required
As a Structures Manufacturing Planner, you will ensure the accuracy, quality, and manufacturability of structural installation plans and production documentation. Key responsibilities include:
Updating and revising Installation Plans in CAPP II and CMES systems.
Creating and revising Out Of Sequence Installation Plans (OSIPs) to support engineering and planning releases.
Coordinating and integrating with Manufacturing Engineering teams, Production, and Engineering stakeholders.
Investigating and resolving manufacturing related issues affecting structure build flow.
Ensuring accuracy and quality of work instructions, bills of materials, and manufacturing illustrations.
Reviewing and approving supplier data to confirm compliance with manufacturing requirements.
Determining and communicating tooling requirements based on production and engineering needs.
1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing production environment.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
1 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Associate level or equivalent).
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
3+ years of related experience (Mid Level).
6+ years of related experience (Senior Level).
Experience with Manufacturing Engineering Planning systems, including:
Product Data Manager (PDM)
Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP)
REDARS
ERPLN
Education and experience combinations such as:
Associate degree + 3+ years related experience
Bachelor’s degree + 1+ year related experience
5+ years of equivalent industry experience
