Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electrical Engineer for an onsite contract opportunity in Hilton Head, SC.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: •Utilize National Instruments LabVIEW software for programming and testing. •Design and develop diode laser driver circuits, preferably capable of handling currents greater than 100A. •Provide schematic development and system diagrams for electronics associated with laser transmitters and testing equipment. •Perform analog and digital circuit design, focusing on laser circuitry and its test/operation. •Conduct electro-optical integration activities and power supply design, including EMI prevention. •Troubleshoot electrical issues and resolve problems on high-voltage industrial equipment. •Support high-voltage electronics, glass shop, and melt equipment throughout the facility. •Perform technician-level tasks and assignments as needed. •Operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and pulse generators. •Test and debug analog and digital circuit boards, as well as high-power electronics. •Flow down system requirements into a system test plan and execute accordingly. •Create design review presentations for technical audiences, including engineering, manufacturing personnel, and senior management. •Ensure compliance with military specifications/standards. •Select components to optimize electronics size, power consumption, and reliability.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: •Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience. OR •Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience OR •In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. **Education MUST be accredited**
