Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

    Provide subject matter expertise on nuclear radiation hardness across a portfolio of space programs.

    Interface with program office representatives and system engineers from other disciplines to address radiation-related concerns.

    Ensure unit and system-level designs consider radiation effects, including:

      Total dose

      Displacement damage

      ELDRS

      Single Event Effects (SEE)

      Internal charging

      IEMP / SGEMP / TREE

    Perform and document unit- and vehicle-level analyses.

    Plan and conduct testing at the piece part, unit, and vehicle levels to verify compliance with radiation requirements.

    Coordinate with radiation test facilities nationwide to secure required testing resources

Requirements:

    SECRET Clearance Required

    Bachelor s + 14 yrs, Master s + 12 yrs, or PhD + 9 yrs in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Chemistry from an accredited institution.

    10+ years experience in space environments / radiation effects.

    Expertise in:

      Dose rate testing

      Total ionizing dose testing

      Displacement damage testing

      SEE testing of electronics

    Experience in prompt dose analysis of electronic units.

    Experience with government contracts involving nuclear effects environments.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

    Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.

    Advanced understanding of space survivability analyses and satellite program requirements.
