Location: Dallas, Y+YX| Pay Rate: $33.81/hour | Schedule: Full-Time, 1st Shift (5:25am - 4:05pm)

As an Interior Installation Technician, you’ll bring precision, creativity, and leadership to the heart of aerospace innovation. In this hands-on role, you’ll install, remove, and fabricate high-end aircraft interiors that embody luxury, performance, and excellence. You’ll also mentor fellow technicians—helping to build both exceptional aircraft and exceptional teams.
What You’ll Do
Safely remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interior components, including galleys, closets, lavatories, bulkheads, side ledges, doors, and panels.
Prepare and install interior materials such as trim, carpet, soundproofing, cabinetry, and light structures according to design specifications.
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and customer expectations through coordination with inspection and supervision teams.
Mentor and train other Interior Installation Technicians, reviewing their work for quality, precision, and compliance.
Lead or oversee projects, identifying material needs and ensuring timely task completion.
Operate tools and equipment including hand tools, saws, sanders, brakes, and shears—maintaining them in top condition.
Utilize the material tracking system for part demands, squawk tracking, and work sign-offs.
Remove and reinstall nut plates, inserts, and hardware, ensuring structural and aesthetic integrity.
Collaborate with other departments and adapt to shifting schedules or priorities as needed.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other efficiency-driven methods.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 4 years of experience in aircraft interior installation, fabrication, or a closely related field.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools for interior installation and removal.
Excellent communication skills—verbal and written.
Computer literate and able to navigate digital tracking systems.
Physically able to climb ladders, work in tight spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
Proficient in English (read, write, speak, and understand).
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the aerospace industry.
Knowledge of working with composite panels (Nomex honeycomb, fiberglass, Lexan, acrylic, etc.).
Previous experience mentoring or leading installation teams.
