Embedded Software Engineer

Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
•7-10 years of experience
•SECRET security clearance
•Real-time embedded software development
•C++ (version 11 or higher)
•Linux Operating Systems (CentOS, Rocky 8, or similar distribution)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
•The software is being developed on multi-core multi-threading environment using C++ on CentOS Linux and Windows Operating Systems environment. •The candidate will experience all phases of software development ranging from requirements analysis through code implementation and formal qualification testing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
•Multi-threading/multiprocessing development
•GitLab CI/CD Pipelines
•GoogleTest or similar Unit test tool
Knowledge of Publish / Subscribe communication protocol Data Distribution Services (DDS) by RTI is preferred
•Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA)
•C-Make
•Cameo Modeler
Windows Operating System
•Experience as a software engineer working with multi-disciplined teams

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
•Accredited Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or related field

•4/10 work schedule
•1st Shift
