As a Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer, you will support the development, integration, and documentation of mechanical, fluid, and thermal systems used in advanced aerospace platforms. Your work will help ensure critical systems—from landing gear mechanisms to fluid installations—are designed, integrated, and documented with precision to meet rigorous aerospace standards.
Working alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to both ongoing programs and new development initiatives that push the boundaries of aerospace technology.
In this role, you will support the design and analysis of aircraft mechanical systems while ensuring proper documentation and integration across engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Support the development and documentation of mechanical, fluid, and thermal systems
Assist in maintaining and modifying system designs and proposals to meet program requirements
Develop design documentation and high-level requirements for downstream engineering teams and stakeholders
Perform detailed design development and modifications for mechanical and fluid system installations
Conduct spatial integration of systems and components within aircraft structures
Assist with the modification and integration of mechanisms such as landing gear and ordnance systems
Prepare technical documentation and engineering reports for mechanical components and systems
Support proposal preparation and contribute to new business development initiatives
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system compatibility, performance, and compliance with design standards
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program
Typically 2+ years of experience in an engineering role, OR a Master’s degree with relevant engineering experience
Strong understanding of mechanical system design principles
Ability to support technical documentation and engineering analysis
Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
2+ years of experience using Siemens NX (NX CAD) for design and modeling
Experience working with aerospace mechanical systems, fluid systems, or thermal environments
Exposure to aircraft systems integration or structural/mechanical component design
