Summary:
Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design
Develop, maintain, and modify structural and payload system components using 3D CAD or other design methods
Perform tests and integrate analytical results to validate and verify system and component performance
Support supplier development, testing, and production activities, coordinating with suppliers to optimize designs
Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, production operations, and external customers to provide product definition
Requirements:
Ability to obtain Secret Clearance (not required to start) Aerospace experience required Bachelor s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Master s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or PhD with equivalent experience
ABET-accredited programs preferred but not required
Experience in Model-Based Definition (MBD)
Experience in structural design from conceptual layout through build-to-package release
Experience leading a structural design team through product development
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with CREO, CATIA, Enovia, NX CAD, and Teamcenter PDM
Experience with new material utilization
Experience in design development and sustaining lift equipment
Experience with detailed design of large, portable work platforms
Project management experience, including tracking metrics, reporting status, coordinating integrated teams, and communicating with suppliers and customers
