JOB TITLE: Test Technician

Summary:
Support the build, operation, and maintenance of test equipment used to verify components, subsystems, and systems prior to flight installation
Perform material, qualification, and acceptance testing for spacecraft hardware
Work a day shift schedule (Monday Thursday, 4/10)
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the test and manufacturing environment
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing components, subsystems, or systems (or equivalent industry experience)
Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and 3D models (paper or digital format)
Cable harness fabrication using wire diagrams, layout drawings, and parts lists
Mechanical assembly fabrication using 2D/3D models and parts lists
Test asset instrumentation including strain gauges, load cells, and pressure transducers
Operation of shop tools such as saws, lathes, mills, and other mechanical equipment
Use of electrical and electronic tools including soldering irons, DMMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, and wire preparation tools
Structural or systems test execution
Tension/compression test machines and associated software
Knowledge of shop floor manufacturing and inspection technologies
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and problem-solving skills
Hands-on technical mindset with commitment to continuous improvement
Ability to follow detailed work instructions using computer applications
Experience working in an Agile environment
Strong safety awareness, including proper handling of hazardous materials and energized systems
Must be available to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed
Approximately 10% travel may be required
Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours)
Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and work in tight spaces
Ability to lift and move objects (up to 50 lbs rarely, 20 lbs occasionally, 10 lbs frequently)
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with environmental testing standards such as DO-160, SMC-S-016, or MIL-STD-810 (vibration, thermal, humidity, TVAC, waterproofing, proof pressure)
Familiarity with data acquisition and control hardware (NI cDAQ, cRIO, PXI preferred)
Experience with NI FlexLogger
Precision measurement tooling experience
Certifications such as J-STD-001 or NASA-STD-8739.3
Knowledge of quality assurance and non-destructive testing methods
Technical report writing experience
Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
Ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams
