Sealant Technicians (Sealers)
PDS Tech Commercial is hiring Sealant Technicians (Sealers) to support aircraft production for a leading aerospace manufacturer in North Charleston.
In this hands-on role, you will apply sealants, prepare fuel tanks, and install structural components that ensure aircraft safety and performance. This is a great opportunity for individuals with manufacturing or mechanical experience who are ready to grow in the aerospace industry.
Sealer – Aerospace Manufacturing
Location: North Charleston, SC
Starting Pay: 6 months to 2 years exp - $27.13/HR | 3- 5 years exp: $33.00/HR
Shift: Must be open to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
Apply sealants to aircraft structures according to engineering specifications
Perform in-tank sealing of fuel tanks and structural components
Install panels and other aircraft system components
Read and follow detailed work instructions and blueprints in English
Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools
Perform fuel tank wash and preparation processes
Conduct bond and ground measurements
Operate lifts (ladders, tiger lifts, snorkel lifts)
Work with solvents, primers, adhesives, coatings, and paints
Work in confined spaces (with proper certification)
Follow strict safety and compliance standards
Required:
At least 6 months of experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or technical work
Experience using hand or power tools
Experience working with sealants, coatings, adhesives, or similar materials
Ability to read and follow technical work instructions
Basic computer skills (email, internet navigation, Microsoft Office)
Ability to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces
Preferred:
Aerospace sealing or fuel tank experience
Experience working on aircraft structures
Strong understanding of safety and compliance standards
Fast-paced aerospace production environment
Work includes confined spaces and elevated platforms
Use of PPE and respirators as required
Overtime may be available based on production needs
