Aircraft Sealer Technician
Location: North Charleston, SC
Pay: $27.50-33.00/HR Based on years of experience
Schedule: Must be open to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd shift
Must be comfortable working in confined spaces
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking skilled Aircraft Sealer Technicians to support routine production assembly operations for a major aerospace program. In this hands-on role, you will apply sealants, install components, and support the integrity of aircraft structures and systems.
This position plays a direct role in ensuring aircraft safety, performance, and reliability through precise sealing and assembly work in a production environment.
Perform production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, aircraft systems, and equipment using manual processes
Read and interpret technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications in English
Apply sealants to surfaces in accordance with detailed specifications
Install aircraft system components, including panel installations
Perform sealing operations in fuel tanks and other structural areas
Conduct washing and preparation processes for fuel tanks
Operate mechanical lifts such as ladders, tiger lifts, and snorkel lifts
Work with chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and special finishes
Perform bond and ground measurements to ensure compliance and safety
6+ months experience reading and following detailed work instructions, blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English
6+ months experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or technical roles using hand tools, power tools, or pneumatic tools
6+ months experience applying chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, or special finishes
Ability to work in confined spaces with appropriate certification
Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, twisting, standing, walking, crawling, and crouching
Experience sealing or working with fuel tanks or structural aircraft components
Prior aerospace assembly or sealing experience
Understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements
