Quality Engineer

Location: San Fernando, CA
Pay Rate: $50 per Hour
Reports to: Director of Quality

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance initiatives and ensure products meet the highest standards of performance and compliance. This is a high-visibility role where your analytical skills, leadership ability, and process improvement mindset will directly influence operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct inspections, testing, analysis, and integration to ensure product quality

• Review engineering designs and vendor documentation for compliance

• Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) to evaluate and improve processes

• Review and approve purchased components and vendor quality performance

• Document and report quality assurance findings

• Develop corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives

• Present technical findings and recommendations to leadership

• Lead and support team members engaged in quality activities

• Maintain compliance with industry and government quality standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR 1–2 years of related experience (or equivalent combination)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with SPC and process improvement

• Project management and cross-functional communication skills

• Leadership abilities with a focus on continuous improvement

• Commitment to safety and operational excellence

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Primarily office-based with regular exposure to manufacturing environments

• Regular standing and walking

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

• Exposure to operational noise and temperature variations when in production areas
