About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Numerical Control Programmer to join our team in partnership with a leading innovator in the aerospace industry. In this vital role, you will directly contribute to the precision manufacturing of complex aerospace components by developing high?quality NC programs that drive production accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

As a Numerical Control Programmer, you will play a key role in supporting machining and tooling operations. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Creating NC programs based on blueprints, solid models, and sketches using Unigraphics NX CAD/CAM software.
• Developing and revising Machine Control Data (MCD) and associated tooling/fixture designs.
• Collaborating with machine shop personnel to ensure first?pass quality, accuracy, and manufacturability.
• Verifying programs using Vericut verification software and ensuring cutting tools are available and properly specified.
• Supporting cross-functional teams by researching and gathering data that enhances manufacturing methods and processes.
• Providing documentation and operator instructions for automated and numerically controlled equipment.
• Assisting with integration of new machining techniques, technologies, and equipment.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an NC Programmer using UG NX software.
• Experience with Vericut.
• Previous machinist background.
• Education/experience equivalent to:
  • Associate degree + 3 years related experience, or
  • Bachelor’s degree + 1 year related experience, or
  • 5 years of directly related experience.
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with UG NX NC programming.
• 5+ years of Vericut experience.
• Multiple years of hands-on machinist experience.
