PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Project Management professional to serve as a strategic Quality Assurance leader at a highly advanced manufacturing site in Mountain Home, PA. Position Details
Job Title: Project Management
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (18 Months)
Location: Mountain Home, PA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $87.84 per hour
As the site Quality Assurance leader, you will shape the direction of product quality, compliance, and performance. You will lead a dedicated quality team, maintain AS9100 certification, and serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, customers, and regulatory agencies. Your leadership will directly influence safety, reliability, customer satisfaction, and cost-of-quality performance.
Lead, coach, and develop the quality organization to foster accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence
Provide input on hiring, performance management, promotions, and rewards
Guide teams through change while driving performance improvements
Conduct performance reviews, facilitate toolbox meetings, and ensure consistent communication of organizational goals
Promote safe, environmentally responsible operations
Maintain and enhance QMS documentation, including work instructions, inspection procedures, and quality plans
Monitor QMS effectiveness through audits, risk assessments, and performance metrics
Serve as primary contact for customer and regulatory audits
Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and maintain AS9100 certification
Own delivered product quality, customer satisfaction, and quality risk management
Oversee customer escape management processes
Prepare and present quality metrics, corrective action plans, and recovery strategies
Ensure program estimates and proposals reflect quality requirements
Lead root cause analysis using CORE methodologies and Lean principles
Implement corrective and preventative actions to reduce escapes and improve throughput
Drive measurable reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives
Develop and execute quality improvement plans
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and systematic problem-solving tools to enhance performance and delivery integrity
University degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
OR
Advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
Strong leadership experience within a manufacturing or aerospace environment
Proven ability to manage complex quality systems and regulatory requirements
Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Prior AS9100 Quality Management experience
Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection reporting
Blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency
NADCAP accreditation experience (brazing, heat treat, paint)
Experience reviewing Statements of Work (SOW), SCARs, Purchase Order Quality Requirements (Q-Notes, STAMP)
Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma facilitation experience
Experience leading work transfers
Strong collaboration and communication skills across multiple stakeholder levels
