Quality Operations Specialist, Procedures Writer
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace organization to find a detail-driven Quality Operations Specialist ready to make an immediate impact. This 12-month consulting opportunity in Fort Worth offers the chance to shape quality systems, ensure regulatory excellence, and support mission-critical aerospace programs.
In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining and strengthening the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet stringent regulatory requirements. You’ll drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and support certified repair station operations—helping to deliver safe, reliable, and high-performing aerospace solutions.
As a key member of the quality team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Maintaining, updating, and revising Quality Management System (QMS) procedures
Developing and updating repair station training manuals and quality documentation
Supporting the addition of new facilities and functions into the QMS
Creating and standardizing procedures for FAA technician rosters across repair stations
Updating and tracking employee training records and compliance requirements
Designing and implementing process improvements for training, certification, and quality control
Developing and revising procedures related to PC extensions and regulatory standards
Managing and updating training content within Brain Shark systems
Monitoring, tracking, and supporting Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives
Coordinating risk evaluation, mitigation efforts, and continuous improvement programs
Creating compliance procedures such as Drug and Alcohol Random Testing for repair stations
Supporting cross-functional teams in regulatory readiness and operational excellence
Ensuring all work aligns with company policies, processes, and regulatory guidelines
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
7–10 years of related experience in quality, compliance, or aerospace operations
Prior experience supporting a 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station
Proven ability to develop procedures and create training programs
Strong knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience interacting with internal teams, customers, and government agencies
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Action-oriented mindset with a collaborative team approach
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience in continuous improvement and statistical analysis methodologies
Project management experience
Background supporting aerospace quality systems in complex operational environments
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12 Months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $28.00 – $48.00 per hour
