About the Role
As a Test & Reliability Engineer, you will work within the Molecular R&D group as part of the Test & Reliability Team and/or cross?functional project teams. Your work will focus on evaluating electromechanical medical devices, identifying design vulnerabilities, assessing product limits, and driving improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
Using your extensive engineering experience, you will contribute to root cause investigations, design reviews, test development, and system?level reliability assessments—all while collaborating closely with engineers and leaders across multiple disciplines.
This role directly supports the development of medical devices used around the world, helping ensure they remain safe, reliable, and effective.
 
What You'll Do
Engineering & Technical Contributions
 
  • Apply engineering principles, SOPs, WIDs, and best practices to solve complex test and reliability challenges.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope within cross?functional engineering teams.
  • Make design and technical recommendations with oversight from Senior or Principal Engineers.
 
Testing & Evaluation
 
  • Develop and execute test protocols and plans across the product lifecycle using Helix ALM.
  • Lead or support testing such as
  • Environmental (temperature, humidity, altitude)
  • Shock and vibration
  • Reliability assessments
  • Shipping tests
  • Dust and water ingress
  • Electrical/EMC/EMI evaluations
  • Create test fixture designs to support ongoing development and verification activities.
 
Analysis & Documentation
 
  • Perform root cause analysis for failures observed during testing.
  • Participate in and conduct engineering design reviews and product investigations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with quality and regulatory expectations.
 
Collaboration & Communication
 
  • Work closely with cross?functional teams to meet project, departmental, and company goals.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership throughout all stages of the development cycle.
 
Other Responsibilities
 
  • Complete all work in compliance with internal policies and quality system requirements.
  • Perform additional engineering tasks as assigned.
 
Required Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in test, reliability, or electromechanical device development.
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Experience with electromechanical medical devices.
  • Strong background in environmental, reliability, or EMC/EMI testing.
  • Familiarity with test protocol creation, documentation systems (e.g., Helix ALM), and fixture design.
  • Proven ability to analyze failures and lead root cause investigations.

Pay Details: $86.03 per hour
