Manufacturing Planner – Drive Production Excellence in the Aerospace Industry
Location: San Antonio, TX
Type: Full-Time, Consultant (9 Months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–2:00 PM (First Shift)
Pay Range: $41.83 - $48.90 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Systems and Test Engineer to support our partner, a respected leader in the aerospace industry. In this impactful role, you will help shape manufacturing strategies, streamline production processes, and ensure seamless execution on the shop floor. Your expertise will directly support successful program delivery and high?quality aircraft production.
You will serve as a key resource between engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing teams. Responsibilities include:
Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and illustrations.
Define and document as?built configurations.
Support mechanics by interpreting engineering drawings, specs, and planning documentation.
Develop and integrate suppliers, processes, materials, and technologies to meet production and delivery requirements.
Review and approve supplier data to verify compliance with manufacturing requirements.
Develop tooling requirements and manage tools from design through disposition.
Investigate and resolve manufacturing?related issues.
Perform producibility assessments and provide input on designs, processes, and technologies.
Develop integrated work statements and event sequencing to support delivery commitments.
Draft, update, and review processes and procedures to meet business and regulatory requirements.
Work under general direction while managing priorities and delivering results.
5+ years of Manufacturing Planner experience
5+ years of experience with CAD software
Ability to interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings and specifications
Strong skills in analyzing and interpreting engineering data
Knowledge of manufacturing engineering processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based tools
Ability to obtain customer approval for access (may be affected by dual/previous citizenship)
Ability to pass an extensive background check covering finances, residence history, employment, drug use, military service, and criminal history
Regular, predictable attendance
Education/Experience:
Associate degree plus 3+ years’ relevant experience, or
Bachelor’s degree plus 1+ year, or
5+ years of directly related experience
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Previous experience as a Planner
Experience with Gold ESP and MESCI
Familiarity with IVT, REDARS, and WIRS
