Quality Production Specialist
Location: New Orleans, LA (Onsite)
Type: Full-Time | Consultant (12 Months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Pay Rate Starting at: $49.71-$61.00 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Quality Production Specialist to support a major aerospace program in New Orleans. In this impactful role, you will help ensure that critical aerospace hardware, processes, and systems meet rigorous Quality Management System requirements. Your work will directly contribute to mission critical programs by validating nonconformances, supporting root cause analysis, driving corrective actions, and elevating overall production quality.
Review and validate product nonconformances, dispositions, and quality procedures.
Perform detailed analyses to ensure products, operations, and processes meet QMS, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Train and mentor employees on Quality Management System practices.
Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Develop, modify, and document actions to resolve issues and prevent reoccurrence.
Obtain commitments and negotiate to ensure corrective actions are carried out.
Review and approve quality planning changes and nonconforming hardware dispositions.
Guide the validation of configuration management, quality procedures, and material review policies.
Support software system processes and implementation of industry standard changes.
Address audit findings and ensure proper handling and storage of engineering media.
Interpret industry standards and recommend improvements.
Work under general direction with autonomy and accountability.
3+ years of experience in a quality-focused role.
3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
Experience in the space industry, including NASA interfaces, aerospace design, or aerospace quality.
Education/experience combination equivalent to:
Associate degree + 3 years’ experience, or
Bachelor’s degree + 1 year related experience, or
5+ years of directly related experience.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience supporting aerospace manufacturing or government/aerospace programs.
Strong understanding of quality systems, corrective actions, and industry standards.
