About the Role

As a Structural Analysis Engineer specializing in Durability and Damage Tolerance, you will play a key role in ensuring aircraft structural integrity and long-term reliability. You will lead fatigue and fracture mechanics evaluations, develop testing strategies, and provide critical insights that support certification, maintenance, and operational safety for advanced defense platforms.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
Job Type: Full-Time Contract | 12 Months
Pay Rate Starting at: $83.55 per hour
Work Environment: 100% Onsite

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• Lead development of structural test plans and configurations, supporting execution and analyzing results.

• Provide data-driven recommendations to ensure aircraft structural integrity and performance.

• Define and document certification strategies and test outcomes to meet regulatory and customer requirements.

• Perform durability and damage tolerance evaluations, including strain-life and crack-growth analysis.

• Conduct fatigue and fracture mechanics assessments such as spectrum loading, crack-growth modeling, and FEA inputs.

• Support structural substantiation, repair criteria, and maintenance planning.

• Investigate structural performance and establish inspection intervals and service life.

• Collaborate with technical experts to standardize enterprise testing practices.

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align on fatigue and structural requirements.

• Lead engineering teams while also contributing hands-on technical expertise.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Materials Engineering.

• 3+ years of experience in structural fatigue, fracture, or damage tolerance analysis.

• Experience writing engineering reports and presenting findings based on analysis and testing.

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• 9+ years of related experience (or equivalent advanced degree).

• Active Secret Security Clearance.

• Knowledge of fixed-wing military aircraft platforms.

• Familiarity with Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs.

• Experience with structural analysis tools such as PATRAN, NASTRAN, StressCheck, and Lifeworks.

• Experience with spectrum generation and advanced fatigue modeling.

• ABET-accredited engineering program.
