As a Structural Analysis Engineer specializing in Durability and Damage Tolerance, you will play a key role in ensuring aircraft structural integrity and long-term reliability. You will lead fatigue and fracture mechanics evaluations, develop testing strategies, and provide critical insights that support certification, maintenance, and operational safety for advanced defense platforms.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
Job Type: Full-Time Contract | 12 Months
Pay Rate Starting at: $83.55 per hour
Work Environment: 100% Onsite
In this role, you will:
Lead development of structural test plans and configurations, supporting execution and analyzing results.
Provide data-driven recommendations to ensure aircraft structural integrity and performance.
Define and document certification strategies and test outcomes to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
Perform durability and damage tolerance evaluations, including strain-life and crack-growth analysis.
Conduct fatigue and fracture mechanics assessments such as spectrum loading, crack-growth modeling, and FEA inputs.
Support structural substantiation, repair criteria, and maintenance planning.
Investigate structural performance and establish inspection intervals and service life.
Collaborate with technical experts to standardize enterprise testing practices.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align on fatigue and structural requirements.
Lead engineering teams while also contributing hands-on technical expertise.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Materials Engineering.
3+ years of experience in structural fatigue, fracture, or damage tolerance analysis.
Experience writing engineering reports and presenting findings based on analysis and testing.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
9+ years of related experience (or equivalent advanced degree).
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Knowledge of fixed-wing military aircraft platforms.
Familiarity with Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs.
Experience with structural analysis tools such as PATRAN, NASTRAN, StressCheck, and Lifeworks.
Experience with spectrum generation and advanced fatigue modeling.
ABET-accredited engineering program.
