Pay Rate: $70.00–$100.00 per hour

About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Airframe Design Engineer to support key programs with a major leader in the aerospace industry. In this role, you will help create, refine, and release engineering data that directly influences the performance, reliability, and safety of next?generation aircraft. Your work will ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, program requirements, and engineering best practices.

What You’ll Do

• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, installations, and engineering BOMs.
• Review design definitions to verify compliance with requirements and specifications.
• Support detailed design tasks under the guidance of a technical lead.
• Research relevant technical data and contribute engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and specialty teams to resolve design or production issues.
• Provide support to Manufacturing Engineering during component fabrication and assembly.
• Coordinate with suppliers and support supplier-driven activities.
• Advance technical capabilities through innovation, research, and strong analytical work.
• Travel to suppliers as needed based on project requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of airframe design or aircraft fuel system design experience.
• Hands-on experience with composites.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5, V6, 3DX, or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with GD&T.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred).
• Experience with Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, or Maintenance processes.
• Experience with PLM tools such as ENOVIA.
