Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Technician for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Familiarity with basic circuit identification and troubleshooting , electrical analysis, ability to us a multimeter • Electrical and electronic principles: Understanding of circuit analysis, electronics, and electrical systems. • Measurement and testing: Familiarity with measurement instruments, testing equipment, and methodologies. • Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve problems with test equipment and systems. • Basic understanding of analog and digital circuit principles. • Familiarity with reading schematics, datasheets, and test documentation. • Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment in a lab or academic setting. • Good troubleshooting and analytical skills. • Clear written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform functional, performance, and environmental tests on electronic components and assemblies. • Assist in developing test procedures, test plans, and documentation for new and existing products. • Operate and maintain lab/test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters. • Record and analyze test data to identify trends, issues, or performance concerns. • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to test failures or product defects. • Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues. • Maintain detailed and accurate test records, logs, and reports. • Follow safety and ESD protocols in the lab environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Experience with automated test systems or scripting languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB). • Exposure to PCB-level debugging and soldering/rework techniques. • Knowledge of product compliance testing (EMC, safety, thermal). • Familiarity with manufacturing test processes and test fixtures. • Understanding of industry standards (IPC, ISO, MIL-STD, etc.).
REQUIRED EDUCATION: •Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
WORK HOURS: •Full-Time-4/10-1st Shift
