Material Handler – Keep Aerospace Operations Moving with Precision and Speed

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a Material Handler to support our partner, a recognized leader in the aerospace industry. In this role, you’ll play an essential part in the flow of parts, materials, and inventory that keep production running smoothly. Your reliability and energy will directly support high-impact aerospace programs.

About the Role

As a Material Handler, you’ll receive, stock, pick, package, and move materials throughout a busy shipping/receiving environment. You’ll operate within an automated inventory system, support internal deliveries, maintain accuracy through cycle counting, and assist with unloading trucks and pulling stockroom inventory. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and critical to daily operations.

Location: Melbourne, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (First Shift)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Consultant (6 months)
Pay Rate: $19.01 per hour

What You’ll Do

• Receive, verify, and stock incoming parts and materials.
• Issue parts from bulk areas or automated carousel systems.
• Maintain accurate inventory using barcodes and computerized systems.
• Prepare, package, and ship products and parts according to established procedures.
• Perform internal and external pickups and deliveries.
• Conduct cycle counts and perform stock transactions within the inventory system.
• Unload trucks, unpack materials, and pull stockroom items as needed.
• Stand for extended periods and lift materials up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Florida driver’s license
• High school diploma or GED (must be verified through Accurate Information Systems)
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours and consistently lift 25 lbs, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable performing basic math
• Ability to read and follow simple written and verbal instructions
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete simple SAP entries (no prior SAP experience required)
• Strong energy and reliability in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience
• Familiarity with computerized inventory systems
• Experience working in a manufacturing or logistics environment
