JOB TITLE: General Fabrication Specialist - DEFENSE
LOCATION: Kennedy Space Center, FL
PAY RATE: $36/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.
Job Details:
Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Security Clearance: Secret clearance is not required to start, but candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components
Assemble and install pumps, valves, and hydraulic systems
Measure and verify tolerances using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools
Apply torque specifications and maintain required mechanical clearances
Perform work on complex components and systems using established drawings, blueprints, and requirements
Requirements:
Secret clearance is not required to start, but candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
High school diploma or GED required
Typically 1+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on a NASA program
Experience working in a cleanroom environment
Manufacturing experience supporting human spaceflight, space systems, or aircraft hardware
Experience installing and handling tubes, valves, and fittings
Structural assembly experience, including match drilling of aluminum, titanium, and composite materials
Experience with tubing and ducting installation
