Location: Savannah, GA | Payrate: $80.52/hour | Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7am to 5:30pm 

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a recognized leader in the aerospace industry to hire a highly experienced Electrical Harness Installation Engineer ready to solve complex challenges and drive major technological advancements.

Position Summary 

In this role, you will lead high-complexity engineering projects involving critical technical challenges requiring significant innovation and development. You will serve as a technical authority, making decisions that influence product performance, cost, and schedule across extensive engineering activities. Your expertise in EWIS and harness installation will directly support the reliability, safety, and performance of aerospace systems. 

 
 

Key Responsibilities 

Engineering Leadership & Technical Authority 

  • Lead entire engineering projects of major complexity within established scope 

  • Make technical decisions and recommendations recognized as authoritative 

  • Apply advanced engineering principles, theories, and specialized knowledge 

  • Develop innovative concepts, methods, and procedures 

  • Establish standards and guides for diverse engineering activities 

  • Plan and execute investigations in areas where engineering precedents may not exist 

  • Work independently under consultative direction to achieve objectives 

Electrical Harness & EWIS Expertise 

  • Develop Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS) and resolve complex technical issues 

  • Produce and maintain wire harness assemblies using CATIA V5 Electrical and Sheet Metal Workbenches 

  • Interface with wiring diagrams, aircraft systems, and EMI/EMC requirements 

  • Assign wires and cables to correct harness assemblies based on EMI/EMC, system separation, and functional requirements 

  • Ensure all designs meet installation, maintainability, and aerospace compliance standards 

Operational Excellence 

  • Balance multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail 

  • Exercise sound engineering judgment and initiative 

  • Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams 

 
 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the role 

  • 13 years of experience in a specific technical discipline 

  • OR 15 years of broad engineering experience across multiple disciplines with a Bachelor’s degree 

  • Experience credit considered for related advanced degrees: up to 2 years for a Master’s and up to 4 years for a PhD 

  • Aerospace industry experience (required) 

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS) 

  • Strong working knowledge of: 

  • CATIA V5 Electrical Workbench 

  • CATIA V5 Sheet Metal Workbench 

  • EMI/EMC requirements and system separation principles 

  • Proficiency in PC and MS Office applications 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively 

 
 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or related technical field 

  • Experience leading highly complex aerospace engineering initiatives 

  • Proven ability to develop innovative engineering standards and procedures

Pay Details: $80.52 per hour
