Schedule: Monday–Thursday, First Shift (5:00 AM – 2:42 PM); Working Fridays 5:00 AM – 1:42 PM (80 hours over two weeks)
Pay Rate Starting at : $31.03 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to find a highly skilled Experimental Machinist ready to take on challenging, high-precision projects. In this role, you will help produce advanced components that drive innovation in next-generation aerospace systems. As an Experimental Machinist, you will play a vital role in prototype and development manufacturing by:
Operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce complex aerospace components.
Programming parts using Mastercam to meet tight tolerances and design requirements.
Performing conventional machining operations as needed.
Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation.
Ensuring quality and accuracy while maintaining compliance with strict aerospace standards.
Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to refine manufacturing methods.
Troubleshooting machining processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Communicating effectively to support project goals and timelines.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 5 years of CNC programming and machining experience.
Strong proficiency in Mastercam for 3-axis and 5-axis programming.
Experience operating Haas CNC machines.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Flexibility to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as business needs require.
10 or more years of CNC machining experience.
Experience with Mazak CNC machines.
Ability to operate EDM and Plunge/Sinker machines.
Active Secret Security Clearance and eligibility for special program access.
