Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret or Top-Secret Clearance is required post-start.

Summary:

Lead development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish system design

Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and establish product environmental requirements

Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element models (FEM), simulations, and other engineering tools

Develop structural environments, characteristics, and performance criteria throughout the product lifecycle

Lead development of test plans and configurations

Support test execution and analyze/report results to validate systems and components meet requirements

Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies

Lead investigations into in-service failures and analyze improvement opportunities

Develop analytical processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency

Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced engineering environment

Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Bachelor s degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field

ABET accreditation preferred (U.S.), but not required

10+ years of structural analysis experience

8+ years of experience analyzing primary structures, subsystems, or weapons systems in the aerospace industry

Experience performing hand calculations

Experience using industry CAD tools such as:

PRO-E

SOLIDWORKS

AUTOCAD

NX/Teamcenter

CATIA/ENOVIA

Experience using FEM software such as:

PATRAN/NASTRAN

StressCheck

HyperWorks

Abaqus

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
