Job Title: Structural Design Engineer
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12 Months)
Location: Berkeley, MO
Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $75.28 per hour
Work Environment: 100% Onsite
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
In this role, you will develop, maintain, and modify structural and interior payload system designs that define cutting-edge aircraft. You’ll collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and production partners to bring innovative concepts to life while supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense programs.
As a Structural Design Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Developing, integrating, and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design.
Designing and modifying aircraft structures and payload systems using advanced 3D Computer Aided Design tools.
Providing detailed product definitions to engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Leading performance analysis and integration testing to validate system and component requirements.
Managing supplier development, testing, and production activities to ensure optimal design outcomes.
Coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives.
Supporting the investigation and implementation of emerging technologies for future aerospace platforms.
Working with minimal direction to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or related technical discipline (ABET preferred).
10+ years of structural design experience.
8+ years of experience designing primary structures, subsystems, or weapons within the aerospace industry.
Proficiency with Siemens NX and TeamCenter.
Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings.
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
5+ years of structural design experience on military aircraft.
Advanced technical education or equivalent aerospace experience.
Experience working on complex defense or advanced aerospace programs.
Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
