Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6 Months)
Location: Berkeley, MO
Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
Pay Rate Starting at : $84.76 per hour
Work Environment: 100% Onsite
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
In this role, you will verify structural integrity using advanced analytical methods, simulations, and modeling tools. You will support both current and emerging aircraft programs within the Air Dominance division, ensuring designs meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance throughout the product lifecycle.
As a Structural Analysis Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Leading the development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to support system design.
Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to define product environments and operational conditions.
Performing advanced structural analysis using hand calculations, finite element modeling, and simulation tools.
Guiding product design decisions by validating structural performance and integrity.
Developing and executing test plans, supporting test events, and analyzing results to verify requirements.
Documenting certification and validation results for regulatory and customer review.
Supporting in-service aircraft by investigating structural failures and recommending improvements.
Developing and refining analytical processes and tools to enhance efficiency, quality, and accuracy.
Working with minimal supervision while delivering high-impact engineering solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or related technical field (ABET preferred).
10+ years of structural analysis experience.
8+ years of experience analyzing primary structures, subsystems, or weapons in the aerospace industry.
Proficiency in hand calculations and engineering fundamentals.
Experience using CAD systems such as PRO-E, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, NX/Teamcenter, or CATIA/ENOVIA.
Strong experience with FEM tools such as PATRAN/NASTRAN, Stresscheck, Hyperworks, or Abaqus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Experience with structural analysis tools such as CAESAR, Lifeworks, Mechanica, and Common Structures Workstation.
Advanced technical education (Master’s or PhD) with relevant aerospace experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting complex defense or advanced aerospace programs.
