Location: Tulsa, OK | Pay Rate: $28.75/hour | Schedule: Full-Time, 1st Shift (5am - 3:30pm)

Position Purpose: 

The Toolmaker is responsible for laying out, constructing, and assembling tools from Tool Design, Engineering drawings, and/or hand sketches under general supervision. This position requires performing necessary calculations for material requirements, speed and feed calculations, and the setup and operation of tool shop machinery. The Toolmaker II ensures that the tools meet required specifications and quality standards. 

Essential Functions: 

• Set up and operate tool shop machinery and equipment to fabricate and assemble quality tooling from Tool Design, Engineering drawings and/or hand sketches. 

• Perform calculations of materials needed and the speed and feeds required. on all of the machining functions. 

• Set up and utilize precision measuring tools; check own work for conformance to specifications. 

• Assist with tool prove out on new and reworked detail tooling. 

Additional Functions: 

• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a neat and orderly work area.  

• Operate cart and forklift.  

Other Requirements: 

• Must have a good understanding and ability to measure and apply shop math and geometric tolerancing. 

• Needs to have conventional machining experience. Previous work with Bridgeport machines, lathes and grinding tools. 

• Ability to read and understand blueprints. 

• Ability to lift 50 pounds. 

Education and Experience Requirements: 

• High School Diploma or GED required.  

• Three (3) years machine shop experience and/or machine shop training at a Vocational Technical School.  

• Valid Driver’s License required.
