We are seeking an experienced Foundations Manager or Heavy Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on complex infrastructure and foundation projects. This role is focused on hands-on, on-site execution and is best suited for candidates who have worked on the performance side of construction, directly managing crews, safety, productivity, and project delivery. The preferred background is a seasoned manager or superintendent, but the team will also consider strong lead-level field leaders or senior engineers with deep foundation experience and the ability to grow into broader leadership responsibilities. Projects are local and regional, typically within one to two hours of the greater Philadelphia area.

Responsibilities:
Lead and direct all field operations related to foundation and heavy civil work
Manage and motivate field crews and coordinate subcontractors
Maintain the highest standards of job site safety and quality
Ensure crews have the tools, equipment, and materials needed to perform work efficiently
Monitor productivity, schedules, and job costs for assigned work
Review project plans, specifications, and work scopes related to foundation activities
Contribute to construction planning, including work plans and major lift or pick plans
Identify and respond to changing site conditions and unforeseen challenges
Oversee documentation, submittals, material tracking, and reporting
Produce and deliver regular safety and progress reports
Inspect work in progress to ensure conformance with design and safety requirements
Support claims tracking and reporting related to the foundation scope

Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a strong focus on foundations
Proven experience working on the performance side of projects with direct field responsibility
Strong understanding of safety standards, OSHA requirements, QA and QC practices, and heavy equipment
Ability to manage fast-paced, changing schedules and priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Valid driver's license
Ability to work on local and regional job sites

Desired Qualifications:
OSHA 10 Hour certification
Marine or industrial construction experience
Hands-on experience with foundation systems such as:
Micropiles
Drilled shafts
H piles
Sheet piling
Tiebacks
Cofferdams
Well points and dewatering systems
Rigging and heavy lifts
Welding and fabrication
