As a Non-Destructive Evaluation Engineer, you will support critical aerospace programs across the full product lifecycle—from research and development to production and in-service operations. Working with the Materials and Processes Engineering team you’ll help ensure the structural integrity, performance, and safety of commercial and defense aircraft through advanced NDE technologies. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders while expanding your expertise across multiple programs and business units.

Job Type: Full-Time; 12-Month Consultant
Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate Starting at: $40.87 per hour
In this dynamic role, you will:
Develop and implement NDE procedures to support airline customer maintenance inspections
Design and validate NDE reference standards for inspection processes
Create engineering specifications and technical documentation aligned with customer needs
Evaluate emerging NDE technologies for potential aerospace applications
Support the development and qualification of new tools, materials, equipment, and processes
Perform routine testing, supplier audits, and compliance verification
Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions
Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule goals
Integrate environmental health, safety, quality, and LEAN principles into engineering activities
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited program
Minimum of 1+ year of engineering experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Passion for non-destructive evaluation and aerospace technologies
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA or SolidWorks
Hands-on experience with NDI systems such as ultrasonics or eddy current
Aerospace or aviation industry experience
Knowledge of metals and/or composite materials
Strong documentation, technical writing, and computing skills
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
Excellent time management and project coordination abilities
