PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with an industry-leading aerospace organization to find a highly skilled Test Engineer who is passionate about advancing technology and ensuring the reliability of mission-critical systems. In this role, you will support the testing and validation of hydraulic and electro-mechanical components that power modern aircraft. Your work will directly contribute to product safety, performance, and certification—helping keep the future of aviation moving forward.
What You’ll Do
As a Test Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in the development, execution, and optimization of advanced test systems. Key responsibilities include:
Set up, automate, and execute tests for electro-mechanical and hydraulic actuation components.
Troubleshoot and maintain complex test systems, including multi-axis hydraulic loading, thermal control, motor controls, and data acquisition systems.
Develop and enhance software for test automation and data acquisition.
Maintain and support calibration of test equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Design and assemble custom data acquisition and control systems.
Support external lab testing such as vibration, altitude, humidity, icing, and environmental simulations.
Collaborate cross-functionally to improve test methods, processes, and product performance.
Analyze test data, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of engineering or aviation technical experience.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness and flexibility to transition to 2nd or 3rd shift based on business needs.This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
