Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple MECH TECH H 3 (OUTSIDE MACHINIST) for a contract opportunity in Groose Creek, SC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 5 years of related experience with High School diploma/GED and/or certification in assigned area preferred
o Required PPE:
o MSA Comfo Classic Half/Full Face Respirators
or
o RESPIRATOR 3M SPEEDGLASS PAPR 9100MP ADFLO (Must have an approval from H&S)
o 1401173 3M DBI SALA EXOFIT X100 14 Harness.
o 3500276 Nano-Lok Edge Twin leg PER.Self Retract Lanyards.
o MSA Skull Gard Hard Hat- Appropriate size.
o Welding shield compatible with MSA Skull Gard Hard Hat with shields.
o 3M PELTOR Optime 95 Earmuffs H6B/V ***WE DON'T USE EAR PLUGS***.
o Kleenguard Calico safety glasses.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions. interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. May modify numerically controlled programs on numerically controlled (nc) machines. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Typically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School Diploma.
School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
1st and 2nd shifts
First Shift 6:00AM-2:30 PM
