Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in Seattle, WA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry • 1+ year of experience with electrical and electronic technologies • 1+ year of experience in the use of computer aided design and simulation tools • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • The ideal candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills, good people and team building skills and be self-motivated. • Supports the development and verification of test methods • Develops detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan • Implements solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact • Designs test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements • Uses analytical tools to verify the design • Analyzes, processes, and formats data to customer requirements • Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer • Read electrical diagrams • Troubleshoot electrical systems • Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements • Presents test results internally • Archives data and reports • Trains others • Works under general direction
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Degree in Electrical Engineering with strong electrical/electronic background from an accredited college or institution • Experience with wire design • Experience using electrical design tools including WCAD and Zuken E3 • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite • Experience interacting with customers to coordinate testing requirements and schedule • Experience with mechanical systems
REQUIRED EDUCATION Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.) ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT,8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
