Senior FA Engineer – Lead Failure Analysis & Drive Manufacturing Excellence 

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the electronics manufacturing industry to hire a Senior FA (Failure Analysis) Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in the Richardson, TX area. 

Salary range - $110,000 - $114,000

The Impact You’ll Make 

As a Senior Lead Engineer, Manufacturing Process with a focus on Failure Analysis, you will design, develop, deploy, and optimize manufacturing processes while leading complex investigations that protect product quality and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will drive data-based decisions, reduce manufacturing costs, and enhance reliability across new and existing product lines. 

Your work will directly influence operational performance and customer success. 

What You’ll Do 

In this role, you will: 

• Lead failure analysis investigations to identify root causes impacting product quality, yield, and reliability 

• Develop and implement optimized manufacturing processes to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals 

• Interpret and execute customer technical roadmaps and related process development initiatives 

• Lead the development and release of full manufacturing processes for new product introductions 

• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFX) tools and methodologies to reduce cost and improve reliability 

• Plan and lead Design of Experiments (DOE) to assess process capability and validate improvements 

• Establish process controls and data collection strategies to monitor performance 

• Analyze complex manufacturing and reliability data to drive corrective and preventive actions 

• Provide clear, accurate, and timely communication to management on critical technical and business issues 

• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, operations, and customer teams 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience 

• 4–6 years of experience in failure analysis, manufacturing process engineering, or electronics manufacturing 

• Strong experience with root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action implementation 

• Working knowledge of DFX principles and process optimization strategies 

• Experience leading Design of Experiments (DOE) and process capability studies 

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data 

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in electronics manufacturing or high-reliability environments 

• Background supporting new product introduction (NPI) programs 

• Familiarity with reliability testing and yield improvement initiatives 

• Proven track record of reducing defects and improving long-term product performance 

• Ability to manage multiple technical priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting 

Work Environment 

This position is based in the Fort Worth area within a professional manufacturing setting. The role involves extended periods of computer-based analysis, detailed data review, and collaboration with production and engineering teams. Occasional travel may be required.
