Support Engineering Data Specialist
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with Boeing Global Services (BGS) to identify an experienced Support Engineering Data Specialist to join the Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA) team in San Antonio, TX. If you have deep aircraft maintenance expertise and a passion for translating complex engineering data into clear, actionable technical publications, this is your opportunity to shape the future of aircraft supportability.
Your work will directly impact maintainers, operators, and mission readiness for next-generation aircraft programs.
As part of the BGS MCDA team, you will play a critical role in developing and verifying technical publications that support new aircraft development programs. You’ll ensure maintenance instructions are accurate, compliant, and optimized for operational success — helping keep aircraft safe, reliable, and mission-ready.
Interpret and analyze engineering, reliability, maintainability, and supply chain data to develop aircraft maintenance instructions
Provide recommendations on product supportability and establish operation and maintenance tasks and required support resources
Identify and analyze logistics support candidates from product definition data
Develop logistics support analysis records and detailed reports
Write and maintain technical documentation for operating, testing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft systems and components
Review logistics support analysis reports and develop or revise Initial Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA)
Track and status tasks using Boeing workflow management tools
Perform quality checks on completed maintenance tasks and documentation
Influence maintenance approaches and product designs to ensure long-term supportability and maintainability
Validate the quality and accuracy of completed maintenance tasks directly on the aircraft
5+ years of aircraft maintenance and/or modification experience
5+ years of experience interpreting engineering data for inclusion in maintenance manuals and/or technical publications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear documentation
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, logistics, and support teams
Education/Experience typically includes a Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination such as a Master’s degree with 4+ years or 10+ years of related experience.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
2+ years of experience authoring in eMOD
2+ years of experience using SLICwave
1+ year of Technical Publications Validation/Verification experience
Bachelor’s degree in an aerospace discipline
