Lead Process Innovation in Advanced Electronics Manufacturing as a Senior Wave Solder Engineer  

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the electronics manufacturing industry to hire a Senior Wave Solder Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Ricardson, TX. 

Salary range - $110,000 - $114,000

Role Summary 

As a Senior Lead Engineer, Manufacturing Process, you will design, develop, deploy, and optimize wave solder manufacturing processes that support both company objectives and customer requirements. You will lead new product introductions, improve manufacturability using DFX methodologies, and drive process excellence across complex electronics manufacturing programs. 

Your work will directly influence product reliability, yield performance, and overall operational efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead the development, implementation, and release of complete wave solder manufacturing processes for new customer products 

• Interpret and execute customer technical roadmaps and related process development initiatives 

• Provide technical feedback to internal teams and leadership regarding customer requirements and manufacturability 

• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFX) tools to reduce cost, improve quality, and enhance product reliability 

• Develop, plan, and lead Design of Experiments (DOE) to assess and improve process capability 

• Establish and refine process controls and data collection strategies for wave solder operations 

• Analyze complex production data to evaluate yield, reliability, and root causes of defects 

• Drive corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality and process issues 

• Communicate critical technical and business updates to management in a clear and timely manner 

• Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with quality, cost, and delivery goals
