Job Type: Full-Time | Consultant (12-Month Assignment)
Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Pay Rate Starting at : $21.57 per hour
As an Engineering Development Mechanic (Assembler), you will bridge hands-on mechanical work with engineering execution—bringing designs and technical plans to life on the production floor.
Your responsibilities will include:
Building, modifying, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing structural and mechanical assemblies
Supporting heavy structure drill-out, bonding, fastener installation, and wire harness installation
Fabricating and assembling components using standard hand and power tools, as well as precision instruments
Working from work orders, engineering designs, computer models, and technical procedures
Installing and assembling components using calibrated tooling such as torque wrenches, drills, countersinks, and deburring tools
Maintaining accurate documentation, buyoffs, inspections, and non-conformance records
Collaborating with engineers to suggest design changes and process improvements
Ensuring compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and configuration control requirements
Regular and predictable attendance is required to meet production and development timelines.
High school diploma or GED (technical diploma or associate degree preferred)
Experience in aircraft maintenance, machine trades, or manufacturing technologies
Experience working with composites, titanium, sheet metal, riveting, fastening, wiring, tubing, and basic machining
Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical data
Experience using torque wrenches, drills, countersinks, deburring tools, and calibrated equipment
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.???????
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
A&P certification or specialty technical training
Experience in aerospace engineering development or prototype environments
