PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global aerospace leader to hire an experienced Employee Development Specialist in Auburn, WA. This is a high-impact opportunity for a training professional who is passionate about developing skilled talent and strengthening workforce capabilities.
In this role, you won’t just deliver training—you’ll directly influence the readiness, performance, and long-term success of the next generation of aerospace professionals. From onboarding new hires to reinforcing foundational skills, your work will support programs that connect, protect, explore, and inspire.
Job Type: Full-Time | Consultant (12-Month Assignment)
Location: Auburn, WA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Primarily 2nd Shift (12:00 PM–8:00 PM) with occasional 1st shift support
Pay Rate starying at : $39.73 per hour
Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance required
As part of the Workforce Learning & Development organization, you will play a critical role in delivering engaging, business-aligned training programs that build technical capability and performance excellence.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
Delivering impactful classroom and hands-on training using strong instructional techniques (preparation, delivery, assessment, remediation, engagement, and motivation)
Supporting the internal New Hire Onboarding program and foundational skills instruction
Using diverse learning media and methods to ensure content is clearly understood and retained
Identifying business-specific learning objectives and adapting curriculum content and delivery methods accordingly
Assessing student progress and providing remediation or additional support when necessary
Identifying performance gaps and recommending improvement strategies
Analyzing, validating, optimizing, and coordinating training requests for new hires, recall, and transfer employees
Scheduling courses and instructors to support operational needs
Supporting off-shift training requirements as needed
Your work ensures employees are prepared, confident, and capable in high-performance aerospace manufacturing environments.
Bachelor’s degree and typically 6+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master’s + 4 years, or 10+ years of related experience)
Strong background in Fabrication, Assembly, Composites, and/or Quality Systems
Demonstrated expertise in adult learning principles and instructional delivery techniques
Ability to assess learning needs and adapt training for various audiences
Strong communication, facilitation, and engagement skills
Experience supporting onboarding programs in manufacturing or aerospace environments
Proven ability to identify performance gaps and implement development solutions
Experience coordinating training schedules across multiple shifts
