This onsite Greenville, SC role puts you at the center of advanced NDT supporting next‑generation turbine components.
· Location: Greenville, SC (Onsite)
· Pay Rate: $38.92/hour
· Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (Flexible)
About the Role
As an NDT Engineer / Inspection Technician, you will provide specialized nondestructive testing expertise for advanced manufacturing and repair operations. You’ll focus on additive metal components—particularly combustion and hot‑gas‑path parts used in industrial gas turbines—ensuring their quality, reliability, and readiness for global energy applications. You’ll also support emergent repair inspections and post‑machining evaluations.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop and execute NDT strategies for complex additive metal components.
Support qualification and implementation of new inspection techniques for additive manufacturing.
Perform NDT inspections on combustion and hot‑gas‑path turbine components, including emergent repairs and post‑machining work.
Develop, validate, document, and present inspection procedures and results for technical review.
Utilize advanced inspection technologies such as CT, X‑ray, ultrasonic, CMM, and blue‑light scanning.
Assist with project planning, resource requirements, and timeline management.
Ensure inspections meet rigorous safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Required
Minimum Level I Computed Tomography (CT) and Penetrant Inspection certification.
Four or more years of hands‑on experience in engineering or manufacturing environments with NDT methods (X‑ray, CT, ultrasonic, CMM, blue light, or similar).
Ability to interpret complex geometries and materials typical of additive manufacturing.
Preferred
Experience inspecting additive metal components.
Turbine component inspection experience (combustion or hot‑gas‑path).
Exposure to emergent repairs or post‑machining inspection.
Experience helping develop or qualify new NDT techniques.
