PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Support Engineering Data Specialist to support a leading aerospace organization in Ridley Park, PA. In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering, maintenance, reliability, and logistics—translating complex aircraft data into actionable support solutions that improve fleet reliability, availability, and long-term operational performance. As a Support Engineering Data Specialist, you will interpret and analyze engineering and operational data to develop comprehensive aircraft support strategies. Key responsibilities include:
Interpreting and analyzing engineering, reliability, maintainability, and supply chain data
Developing support analysis products including provisioning solutions, spares strategies, and maintenance concepts
Determining spares provisioning requirements and recommending stocking levels for multiple customers under a single contract type
Identifying logistics support candidates from product definitions and developing logistics support analysis (LSA) records and reports
Establishing maintenance tasks, inspection intervals, and required support resources
Evaluating aircraft and fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability
Preparing and maintaining technical documentation for operating, testing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft systems and components
Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate technical data development
Developing and maintaining system support technical data elements and specifications
Supporting compliance with structured technical data standards and documentation requirements
Work closely with maintenance, MRO, and engineering teams supporting active aircraft fleets.
Note: In certain locations, Level 1 and 2 roles may be covered under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
3+ years of Aircraft Mechanic or Avionics experience (military, commercial, corporate, or general aviation)
OR
5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
3+ years of technical documentation experience in an aviation maintenance or engineering environment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Typically 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor’s degree or advanced education with relevant experience
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License
Experience with SLICWAVE
Familiarity with MIL-STD-40051, S1000D, MIL-STD-1388, GEIA-STD-0007
XML knowledge
Lean Six Sigma experience
