IT Operations Technician needed in Grapeland, TX

$28–$34/hr | 6-Month Contract-to-Hire | 1st Shift (8 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday)

Role Summary

Looking for a hands-on IT role where no two days are the same? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an IT Operations Technician to support multiple business divisions. In this role, you’ll be a key technical resource—keeping systems running efficiently, supporting end users, and helping the business stay connected and productive.

This opportunity is ideal for a motivated, solutions-oriented IT professional who enjoys being on the front lines of technology support and operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver in-person and remote IT support to users across multiple divisions within a 20-mile radius

• Procure, configure, deploy, and support IT hardware while maintaining accurate asset and inventory records

• Support and assist with the implementation of Microsoft Azure cloud solutions and modern IT tools

• Collaborate with business partners to understand needs and provide effective technical solutions

• Diagnose and resolve system issues, manage service requests, and meet service-level expectations

• Participate in IT projects and perform additional operational tasks as needed

• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain a secure and compliant work environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Minimum of 1 year of IT support experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to support remote users effectively

• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple support requests

• Positive, collaborative attitude with strong relationship-building skills

• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends on an as-needed basis

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-900 and/or AZ-104)

• Experience with PowerShell scripting

• Exposure to or experience with cloud migration projects

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO)

• Experience working in an Agile environment
