Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Contract)
Shift: Monday–Friday | 2nd Shift (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr + $1.00/hr second-shift differential
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Mechanical Manufacturing Technician to support precision aerospace manufacturing operations. This is an entry-level opportunity—no certification required—for individuals eager to learn, grow, and develop hands-on technical skills in a regulated, high-quality aerospace environment.
In this role, you’ll be trained on calibration-specific operations, support assembly and production processes, and work alongside experienced technicians to ensure products meet strict aerospace quality and safety standards.
As a Mechanical Manufacturing Technician, you will:
Prepare and assemble components into sub-assemblies and final assemblies under supervision
Set up and operate production equipment to meet flow, spray angle, and quality specifications
Follow blueprints, diagrams, and standard work instructions to meet tolerance requirements
Use measuring, diagnostic, mechanical, and optical tools (including computers and lasers)
Perform basic troubleshooting, calibrations, and hardware or fixture modifications
Record production data, test results, time changes, and parts usage accurately
Identify issues and escalate deviations to Lead Technicians, supervisors, or engineers
Support rework and repair of mechanical and electromechanical components as needed
Assist engineering with technical solutions and prototype development when required
Maintain compliance with EHS, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and safety standards
Participate in training with the goal of achieving technician certification
Perform other duties as assigned, including overtime when required
Entry-level role – no certification required
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and technical documentation
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn calibration and manufacturing processes
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work onsite on 2nd shift
Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment
Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments
Familiarity with mechanical or electromechanical systems
Experience using measuring or diagnostic tools
Interest in long-term growth within aerospace manufacturing
This position is safety sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines
Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA regulation
(14 CFR Part 120 and 49 CFR Part 40)
