Material Handler
Savannah, GA | Full-Time Consultant (3 Months) | 1st Shift
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a dependable Material Handler to support daily manufacturing operations in Savannah, Georgia. This role is critical to keeping materials flowing safely and efficiently, ensuring production teams have what they need to meet quality and delivery goals.
As a Material Handler, you will play a hands-on role in supporting aerospace manufacturing operations. Your work helps maintain production momentum, promotes safety and quality standards, and supports a collaborative team environment—contributing directly to the success of high-precision aerospace programs.
In this role, you will:
Perform a variety of material handling and operational support tasks within a team environment
Move, stage, and organize materials to support manufacturing and production activities
Work from computer-generated images, wiring diagrams, drawings, and written or verbal instructions
Support quality, safety, environmental, Lean, and High Performance Work Systems (HPWS) initiatives
Demonstrate flexibility by assisting with cross-training and additional duties as assigned
Use basic computer systems to track materials and work activities
Handle parts, tools, and equipment safely, including lifting items up to 55 pounds
Work under limited supervision while maintaining productivity and accuracy
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift and move materials up to 55 pounds
Basic computer skills
Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and cross-train as needed
Ability to work first shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM)
1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment
Comfort using hand tools and cut saws
Familiarity with safety, Lean manufacturing, or HPWS environments
