Enfield, CT | Full-Time Consultant (6 Months) | Monday–Friday
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a detail-driven Product Acceptance Inspector. In this role, you’ll ensure that precision-engineered aerospace components meet strict design and quality standards before they move forward. Your expertise will directly support safety, reliability, and customer trust in aerospace manufacturing.
As a Product Acceptance Inspector, you serve as a critical checkpoint in the manufacturing process. By verifying conformance, identifying discrepancies, and controlling non-conforming products, you help protect the integrity of aerospace systems where quality is non-negotiable.
In this role, you will:
Verify routine product conformance to engineering design requirements
Provide objective evidence of inspection results through accurate documentation
Perform auditing, surveillance, and monitoring activities
Identify, document, segregate, and control non-conforming materials
Conduct preliminary reviews and dispositions of non-conformance issues
Inspect incoming materials and outgoing orders to verify certifications and processing accuracy
Perform daily dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauge controls, indicators, comparators, and Smart Scope equipment
Conduct inspections per design records and established AQL levels
Perform visual inspections to identify defects or abnormalities
Review and disposition certification documentation to ensure full traceability per AS9100 and company quality standards
Communicate with vendors regarding certification or quality issues as needed
Obtain and actively use Customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative (SQR) stamps for multiple customers
Provide mentorship and guidance to inspection team members under limited supervision
2+ years of related inspection experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparators, and Smart Scope
Working knowledge of quality assurance inspection methods and procedures
Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Ability to work independently under limited supervision
Previous aerospace inspection experience
Knowledge of AS9100 quality management system requirements
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
