Design the Tools Behind a Global Manufacturing Leader as a Molding Design Engineer  

Location: Manchester, NH | Pay Range: $85,000 – $100,000 base + bonuses | Schedule: Full-Time 

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a Molding Design Engineer for a direct-hire role with a global leader in aerosol valve manufacturing. This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on role in product and mold design, supporting high-volume manufacturing operations that serve customers around the world. 

The Impact You’ll Make 

As a Design Engineer – Molding, you’ll be instrumental in transforming product concepts into manufacturable realities. Your designs will directly influence tooling performance, production efficiency, and product quality—making you a key contributor to the success of a globally recognized manufacturing operation. 

What You’ll Do Every Day 

• Create conceptual layouts for molding machine components and mold designs 

• Develop detailed engineering drawings from initial concepts 

• Process engineering change authorizations for tooling and assembly drawings 

• Manage and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and mold setup sheets 

• Provide technical support to manufacturing and production teams 

• Coordinate tooling purchases and work closely with outside vendors 

• Support continuous improvement efforts across molding operations 

• Perform additional duties as assigned 

What We’re Looking For 

Required Qualifications 

• Minimum 2-year college degree from an accredited institution 

• Preferred fields: Mechanical Engineering or Plastics Engineering 

• Experience with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in mold design or plastic injection molding environments 

• Familiarity with manufacturing or high-volume production operations 

• Vendor coordination or tooling procurement experience
