PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace innovator to hire a SIL Engineering Technician in Arlington, Texas. In this hands-on role, you’ll support critical Systems Integration Lab (SIL) activities by fabricating, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex wiring, cabling, and lab infrastructure that directly supports advanced aerospace programs.

What You’ll Do

As a SIL Engineering Technician, your daily work will support engineering, testing, and integration efforts. Responsibilities include:

• Fabricating interconnecting cables and wiring harnesses from engineering drawings

• Crimping, assembling, and soldering connector contacts to aircraft and J-STD standards

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing test benches and lab infrastructure equipment

• Reading and interpreting aircraft-level wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings

• Wiring and supporting serial data interfaces such as ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RS422, RS232, Ethernet, and IEEE-488

• Installing fiber optic cabling for reflective memory hardware

• Safely operating hand tools and shop equipment (powered and unpowered)

• Following ESD and FOD practices while working in confined areas when required

• Collaborating closely with engineers and technicians in a team-based environment

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma

• Minimum of 5 years of technical industry experience

• Ability to crimp, assemble, and solder cable assemblies to aircraft standards

• Ability to read and understand aircraft wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings

• Experience troubleshooting wiring and electrical systems using test equipment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in confined spaces for extended periods

• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
  
  This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience

• Experience with fiber optic cabling and reflective memory hardware

• Military background in aircraft or systems maintenance and support

• Familiarity with aerospace lab environments and SIL operations
