JOB TITLE: FPGA Design/Verification Engineer
LOCATION: Owego, NY (Telework < 50%)
PAY RATE: $60 $80/hr (NOOT)

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

    Perform FPGA verification activities in support of DO-254 Level A certification, including requirements analysis, test development, simulation, coverage analysis, and results documentation.

    Develop and verify DSP, high-speed digital, high-speed communication, and SoC FPGA designs.

    Work with systems, RF/analog, digital, and ASIC/FPGA engineering teams to develop next-generation products.

    Support design, simulation, integration, and test of complex high-speed systems.

    Develop scripts and automation to improve FPGA development workflows.

    Participate in certification audits and technical reviews.

    Provide technical direction and mentoring to junior engineers.

Requirements:

    Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field (required)

    Experience with FPGA design and verification tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Synopsys Synplify).

    Proficient in SystemVerilog.

    Experience with HDL simulators, waveform viewers, and coverage tools.

    Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and lab equipment (JTAG, logic analyzers, etc.).

    Experience with version control and configuration management systems.

    Prior involvement in FAA/EASA certification audits preferred.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

    Proficiency in UVM

    Proficiency in C

    Experience with COTS control platforms and embedded processors on FPGA platforms

    High-speed networking and digital signal processing experience
