JOB TITLE: Aerospace Upholstery Technician II - 2nd Shift

Summary:

Fabricate and install flat panel covers and curtains using engineering drawings, aircraft specifications, and design requirements; may sew simple covers as needed.

Work with materials such as fabric, vinyl, leather, composites, adhesives, sewing equipment, hardware, hand tools, and power tools.

Cut and finish carpets, cover bulkheads, and fabricate/install interior panels, including headliners, sidewalls, hatch panels, and window panels.

Use material tracking systems to generate parts demand, track discrepancies (squawks), and complete work sign-offs.

Support process improvement initiatives with lead technicians to enhance safety, reduce cost, cycle time, and labor hours using Lean Manufacturing principles.

Maintain compliance with Safety, 5S, and housekeeping standards and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).

Identify and address unsafe conditions to prevent risk to personnel or property.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, and/or upholstery and carpet trade hand tools.

Aerospace industry experience preferred.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.

Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.

Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic mathematical calculations.

Basic computer literacy required.

Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
