JOB TITLE: Tool & Fixture Specialist B - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: New Orleans, LA
PAY RATE: $29-34/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Shift: 2nd Shift

Hours: 2:30 PM 11:00 PM

OT: Volunteer basis

9x80 Schedule: No

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Perform routine tool setup activities and minor tool repairs

Manufacture, assemble, and fabricate tooling as required

Operate factory support equipment, including forklifts, to move tools and materials

Provide tooling support to other organizations

Assist in determining fabrication and assembly processes for tool designs

Support reverse engineering efforts for tooling and part fabrication processes

Maintain overall tooling readiness, including preventative maintenance on tools and equipment

Use staging tools and equipment to ensure tooling readiness processes are followed

Read and interpret blueprint drawings and tooling instructions

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

Typically 1+ year of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school or Associate degree)

Electrical background

Welding experience

Experience operating forklifts

Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs (tools)

Forklift operation required

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
