PDS Tech is seeking Senior Manufacturing Engineers to support multiple high visibility defense and aerospace programs in Hazelwood, MO. Position Overview
We are seeking Senior Experienced Manufacturing Engineers with strong backgrounds in production readiness, airplane subsystems, and/or composite fabrication. You will lead Integrated Product Teams, influence system architecture, and provide manufacturability solutions that ensure efficient, high quality production for complex defense programs.
This role is ideal for senior engineers ready to lead, solve advanced technical challenges, and drive manufacturing excellence.
Key Responsibilities
In this leadership role, you will:
- Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) evaluating product development, producibility, and tooling/production philosophies
- Refine, validate, and implement conceptual manufacturing and production architecture designs
- Develop and optimize manufacturing plans for advanced systems
- Conduct complex producibility and variation analyses to confirm process capability
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical challenges
- Serve as project manager ensuring integration of requirements, specifications, schedules, and design criteria
- Lead manufacturability and assembly decisions during design reviews
- Support production readiness by identifying risks, improving workflows, and driving operational efficiency
- Utilize Lean Enterprise methodologies to enhance manufacturing processes
- Document, communicate, and champion producibility best practices
- Mentor and guide junior engineers through structured coaching
- Support research into new technologies and production opportunities
- Utilize 3D model based instruction and digital manufacturing tools to enhance execution
Basic Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s in:
- Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent
- 5+ years related experience with Bachelor’s
OR 3+ years with Master’s
OR relevant industry experience with PhDPreferred Qualifications
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
- Experience with composite fabrication
- Experience supporting defense or aerospace programs
- Experience with 3D model based engineering and tools such as:
- IVT, CREO, CATIA, NX, IPDM Teamcenter, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA
- VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim, 3D Printed Parts
- Moonshine Shop, Maker Space, ImDev, ICIDO
- Enterprise Standard Gated Process, MESci, CINCOM

Pay Details: $52.35 per hour
